Canonical Forms and Automorphisms in the Projective Space

چکیده

Let C be a sequence of multisets of subspaces of a vector space Fq . We describe a practical algorithm which computes a canonical form and the stabilizer of C under the group action of the general semilinear group. It allows us to solve canonical form problems in coding theory, i.e. we are able to compute canonical forms of linear codes, Fq-linear block codes over the alphabet Fqs and random network codes under their natural notion of equivalence. The algorithm that we are going to develop is based on the partition refinement method and generalizes a previous work by the author on the computation of canonical forms of linear codes.

OD-characterization of $U_3(9)$ and its group of automorphisms

Let $L = U_3(9)$ be the simple projective unitary group in dimension 3 over a field  with 92 elements. In this article, we classify groups with the same order and degree pattern as an almost simple group related to $L$. Since $Aut(L)equiv Z_4$ hence almost simple groups related to $L$ are $L$, $L : 2$ or $L : 4$. In fact, we prove that $L$, $L : 2$ and $L : 4$ are OD-characterizable.
